Board games (and card games) have always been one of our favorite things to do– especially with other couples.
- Settlers of Catan– We got this game for our wedding and I (Kay) grew up playing it every Sunday. It is BY FAR our most used game.
- Cover Your Assets– This one is super easy to learn and can be really fun with groups!
- Rummikub– This is a classic I picked up from a thrift store and it has definitely delivered. Great for just two people to play too if it is just you and your spouse.
- Ticket to Ride– They actually have a card game version of this too which I like even more. We need to get it!
- Monopoly Deal– a much faster way to get through the classic monopoly version. I actually don’t like normal Monopoly but this card game version is actually way fun!
- Spoons- This is actually a game you can play with some playing cards and a bunch of spoons from your house. I played this so much in college but it is such a winner! Here is how you play.
- Chess– Mikayla actually hates this game but it is going on the list because Dan loves it so much.
- Catchphrase– So good! Great party game.
- Skipbo– Another one we both played growing up (and sometimes realize we played by different rules ;))
- Blink– Fun fact: Dan and I played this every night when we were first married and I (Kay) beat him every time. Then he beat me once and never wanted to play again. haha I still convince him to play with me though because it is such a fun one!
What are some of your favorites? We always need a few new recommendations to add to the collection!
