10 Christmas Traditions for Under $20 You Can Start During Christmas 2020

We recently asked our Free Facebook Community what their favorite Christmas traditions are. Here were some of our favorites:

  1. Make Hot Chocolate and Drive Through the Neighborhoods with the Best Christmas Lights.

2. Pick a family or friend and do the “12 Days of Christmas for them.” Keep your giving anonymous and inexpensive, by bringing little things like candy canes, oranges etc. Enjoy running away without them seeing you drop off the gifts!

3. Buy a new Christmas Children’s book every year to add to your collection. Click here for one our our favorites.

4. Put a can of silly string in everyone’s stockings, and end Christmas morning with a Silly String fight! Here’s the most inexpensive package of silly string we could find.

5. Donate socks to the local family crisis or homeless shelter.

6. Make a Gingerbread house!! Click here for your build-your-own kit.

7. On Christmas Eve, have each family member write an act of kindness on a piece of paper they commit to do for another family member during the following year. In Christmas of 2021, put the act of kindness in the person’s stocking who received the act of kindness.

8. Go to Ancestry.com or Familysearch.com to find out where your ancestors are from. Try a new tradition ever year from one of the countries you. discover your ancestors are from.

9. Open one present on Christmas Eve to get a taste of Christmas morning.

10. Plan to celebrate St. Nikolaus Day – next year on December 6th, have your family members leave out their shoes, and then stuff them with candy!
